Rossini, an Italian composer born on a leap year in 1792, is commemorated in today's Google Doodle which also features frogs to signify a leap day as well. Rossini's William Tell overture is very popular in American advertising and as a theme for cartoons featuring Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny, and Daffy Duck.
